2 eggs
2 tablespoons sugar
pinch of salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup fruit juice
1 tablespoon margarine
2 cups of mini marshmellows
1/2 cup of cherries
can of pineapples
can of fruit cocktail
can of orange slices
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
* Drain juice of all cans in a bowl together to mix juices
* Dump drained fruit & marshmellows in a bowl
* Cook egg, 1/4 cup fruit juice & lemon juice
until it has a thick creamy gravy-like texture
* mix juice, fruit, whip cream in a bowl
* chill overnight and serve
* I dont always add in exactly what the recipe calls for on
fruit. Sometimes I use
peaches instead of oranges
and sometimes I add in an extra can to make it a
little
more fruity. Also, Del Monte seems to be
a good brand to use.
* I also add a few more marshmellows
than the directions calls for
* The cooking the egg in the juice part is tricky. Make
sure you add the
lemon juice in slowly not all at once.
*
Make sure you STIR CONSTANTLY and thoroughly.
* Make sure it is a darker color, not clumpy, but
thick and creamy. Dont be afraid to
see how far
you can take it and then start over from scratch if
you burn it. This is the
only tricky part of this
recipe but all toll it should only take you about 5
minutes to
make this part, give or take. I found that
medium heat is best for this process. Slow
and steady
wins the race!
