Was Mine

Woke up this morning, antique lavender in the air,
Trying to blink off my dream wonder stare,
Love dangles in the breeze, twisting without a care,
Breath escapes my lips, but sound doesn't dare,
And I wish more than ever that you could be there.
Freddy perched on my window apathetic to my plight,
Wanted to see Present, but I don't have the sight,
Kicking up dust storms with much fury and might,
My that Frustration sure has quite a bite,
And all I wanted from you was a little fight.
Images wash over me, and I remember blue,
I pushed you away because tender moments were too few,
Confusion runs in a plethora of misjudgments and hues
I think my tether cracked from years of misuse,
And all I want to say is, I love you.
